Build & Design
Ben Dearie at Queen City Showcase
Thursday, March 23, 8:10-8:40pm
Description

This is my third time participating in the Queen City Songwriters Showcase hosted by Joseph Fulton of Ethan and Joey at Cinco Tin Roof. But this is the first time I’ve had a slot at this showcase (or any show) DIRECTLY AFTER MY BROTHER, Sam Dearie! So really, if you show up by 7:35, you can see Sam’s set and get the full Dearie Brothers experience. It is currently unclear whether we will actually share the stage for a song or two – either way, he is a great songwriter and you should look him up on your favorite streaming service. If you haven’t streamed my music yet, you can do so on Spotify, Apple, Amazon… Pretty much all of them. Be at the Tin Roof on March 23rd to hear us perform those songs Live!

STREAM MY LATEST SINGLE!

I realize having a Celtic-inspired song was conspicuously absent from my repertoire. I have also been trying to do more rap. And I found the perfect subject for both – The experiences I have had gigging on St. Patrick’s Day! These gigs can get pretty wild. I could tell you about it, or you could stream my new track, “Rapping Jelly!” A rap song that I set to a backing track based on the “roaring Jelly” jig.

Pre-save my upcoming track!

“Proof It’s A Machine” has tongue-and-cheek lyrics that reflect on the possibility of our universe as we perceive it being simulated. The music is ominous, suggesting the traditional trepidation most people feel at the thought that their world might be fake, but the lyrics express the sentiment that it might be nice to realize nothing we worry about day-today is actually reel. It’s a zany subject foranexperimental track, working together for a very interesting listening experience

Welcome to my world of music! If you’ve made it this far, I already want to extend my most sincere gratitude! Read on to see what’s going on in my musical journey.

Social Media

In addition to performing music, I have been working on taking my musical passion and career to the social media space as @wildguysongs on YouTube and @bendeariemusic on instagram. I still run @wildguy.songs on instagram as well, and you never know what I might post there!
